The SLS AMG sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 197 mph, courtesy of the front-/mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8 that drives the rear wheels through an AMG seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual gearbox/transaxle. The AMG-tuned engine makes 563 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. The new ultra-sports car gets an aluminum space frame and body and a sport chassis with aluminum double-wishbone suspension.
