Eric Fortune’s painting are absolutely magnificent! It is so refreshing to see new, talented artists, who really have perfected their craft. I can’t help but be reminded of the great illustrators of the late 19th century such as Maxfield Parrish. Bravo!
Watercolor is one of the most complex and uncontrollable medium to paint with. Just a tab bit of too much water and you get disaster so to see such wondrous images with such refined detail, control and discipline makes me wonder why we even have certain types making millions when this artist truly deserves his due. Art based in reality is much harder to master because we have something to compare it with.

The paintings remind me of ‘Bengal school’ of India. I am curious to know the technique involved. Looks more like wash and glaze.
