If you’re in the Pittsburgh, PA area (I know most of you aren’t, but still!), there’s a fantastic exhibit running at the Toonseum from May 8th-July 18th that features, for the first time, the largest collection of art and stills from the anime classic, AKIRA to be on public display. You can find more information on the show here and here and an excellent interview with the collections’ owner/show curator here. You can also see many more of the cels from the show here. Enjoy!
